Gaelic Games have been a part of the Irish Community in Philadelphia and its surrounding counties for well over 100 years. Yet when our children sign up for sports at their local elementary or high school, Gaelic Football, Hurling and Camogie are usually not options. When children head off to colleges here and across the country, Universities with Gaelic programs are limited.

The Philadelphia Games Development Committee, headed by our own Ciaran Porter is working diligently to change this so that all youth have the opportunity to participate in Gaelic games from the elementary school level through college.  Spread the word, Gaelic Games are coming to your school soon!  If you would like to receive more information on the program, schedule a presentation or organize a tutoring program to be conducted at your local school, please contact Ciaran at
